I want to say something funny but

holy shit

People (a large amount of them young adults and older) harassing someone because they supposedly were responsible for a background character being slightly altered going so far as to tell her “she isn’t a real woman” and to kill herself

For some clarification to the peeps that follow me and don’t know; the person being flamed here, Yamino, is a big name of fan of sorts and is probably one of the first people that really spoke out against “Derpy” and her portrayal. When asked about her appearance in The Last Roundup, I recall her saying she was “absolutely disgusted”, but didn’t press the issue much further.

However, since our society needs somebody tangible to blame for our problems and act as a scapegoat, she’s been facing the brunt of the brony hate on DA. Because, you know, it’s totally and completely logical for a single person complaining — no matter their fanbase — to get a mega corporation to take down an episode of a cartoon on iTunes and redub over what amounts to three or four extremely small lines.

This is all over a fictional pony on a little girls’ cartoon. This is what this stupid show has become. Every day I’m getting closer and closer to just boycotting the show entirely, but that would mean I’d have to cut my pony-buying habit. But I guess that doesn’t mean I have to watch the show anymore, either.

I’ve not felt driven away from a fandom this much since FMA. I just don’t know what to say anymore.

I don’t want to be part of this fandom anymore. 

In all honesty, I love the series, I do and will continue watching it, but this fanbase is starting to make me not appreciate the show.

I really wish they had never EVER NEVER created that damned background pony, Derpy. I said it. BEHOLD THE PITCHFORKS AND FIRE. I WISH THE PONY NEVER EXISTED. I know it’s not fair to the character, but if people are going to be this ridiculous over some stupid shit like this, then they just need to do away with her completely :/

Seeing this just makes my stomach writhe with disgust. If this is how Bronies are going to react to one person’s opinion, and then STUPIDLY believe that one person made the difference, then I want no part in this fandom.

frankly the people like that are the stupid part of the fandom and they also haven’t done their research. Besides. 4chan is behind all of this, chances are half of those people attacking Yamino are probably not even bronies anyway. and if they are, they’re being very childish. Derpy’s still Derpy and is untouched on the friendship express dvd for now. people need to calm their tits.
